Can I get an STD if I’m a Virgin?
If you are a virgin and you are not engaging in any sexual activity than you chances of getting an STD are very slim although not impossible. Sexual activity includes any touching of any “private part” either by you or your partner. Once engaged in any sexual activity your chances of contracting an STD’s goes up dramatically.
Why Should I get tested?
If you have had any kind of unprotected sexual contact - any exchange of blood, semen (including pre-semen or pre-cum), or vaginal fluids—you could have been exposed to an STD. The only way to know for sure if you or your partner has an STD is to get tested. If you do have an STD, early diagnosis and treatment can prevent further complications and may even save your life.

How is the sample taken?
There is no universal STD test that covers every STD. There are different STD tests for different STDs or STIs. There are two types of simple samples taken depending on the test you choose. Blood tests are used for Hepatitis B and C, Herpes, Syphilis and HIV. Urine samples are used for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and HIV.

Can I get infected with the same STD more than once?
Yes! Getting infected with Syphilis and Chlamydia can happen again if the medication for treatment is not taken correctly. Having unprotected sex with an infected person can also lead to getting the same STD/STI again. You can have more than one STD at a time, since HIV and herpes cannot be cured.
Do all STDs have Symptoms?
In most cases there can be an unusual amount of times where the symptoms do not show up for years or are so unnoticeable they go undetected. If you have had sexual relations with a partner it is important to be tested for all STDs to be sure.
